Greeting all,
I am a new addition to The Rebels Guide to Reason and I thought I should start you off with a call to action. The first bit of information is on the Federal Level and includes a link to a petition on defunding the National Healthcare program (“ObamaCare”). I have included a link to an article from the Wall Street Journal posted August 5, 2013.
You will also find links to our Federal Representatives and Senate. The Representatives do not give email contact information, however, the Senate does. You should send them an email reminding them that they are elected officials chosen by the people.
In the Michigan House it looks as if there will be a vote, possibly on Tuesday, regarding the Health Care Insurance Exchange. You can also send an email to our federal representatives telling them to defund “ObamaCare”. Congress has passed exemptions for themselves and their staff members due to the costs being extremely high. Despite their own concerns with the soon to be mandated health coverage, our representatives seem to be ignoring our legal right to choose and purchase what we want and when we want it.
Instead of helping the American public by decreasing healthcare costs, we instead can be punished with outrageous fines if we refuse, or are unable, to comply. We need to remind them that we are the people of the United States and that we are the deciding individuals and that they are elected to serve us and can be removed from their position if deemed unfit to continue representing us. It is time to remind those that see fit to no longer abide by the Constitution or pick and choose pieces of the Bill of Rights to enforce, who runs this country.

SPRINGFIELD, Virginia- Campaign for Liberty released the following statement from C4L President John Tate endorsing Senator Mike Lee’s (R-UT) efforts to add language to the Continuing Resolution completely defunding ObamaCare:
“It’s time for Congress to stand up for the American people, who do not want to see their health care costs increase and their quality of care decrease as a result of ObamaCare. The upcoming debate on the Continuing Resolution provides an excellent opportunity to defund ObamaCare.
“Since each day brings more proof of the pain Americans will suffer as a result of this law, defunding it should be an easy ‘yes’ vote for any politician – Republican or Democrat. Campaign for Liberty is actively encouraging its members to make their voices heard loudly and clearly to their Representatives and Senators that they do not want ObamaCare.”
